Sound Performance directed by Natasha Wheat

Saturday April 8th - Taft Gardens Amphitheatre - 4pm

This first movement of a sound based work is directed by artist Natasha Wheat and was made in collaboration with field recordings from Musicians, Mountaineers, Trail Runners and Preservationists: Jesse Kees (Super Ethereal Champion World, This Will Destroy You), Jim Fairchild (Modest Mouse, Grandaddy, All Smiles) will be performing live responding to the work.

Absence makes us crave what was once there.

We control movement of all living things.

Natasha Wheat has been in residence at Taft Gardens & Nature Preserve since October working on her upcoming exhibition, which opens at the Art in Nature Fundraiser on May 6th, You Can Not Control What Is Wild.

Proceeds from this event will go towards the Taft Art in Nature Program.
