Fall Equinox Walkabout

Join Ojai author-naturalist Lanny Kaufer for a Fall Equinox Walkabout at Taft Gardens and Nature Preserve on Sunday, September 24, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. “Walkabout” is an Australian term for a temporary return to traditional Aboriginal life, taken especially between periods of work or residence in modern society and usually involving a period of travel through the bush. That is what Kaufer has planned for you in observance of the fall equinox. Beginning in the Australian section of the Gardens and walking up into the Nature Preserve to a vista point with a four directions stone circle, you will take a break from modern life for 3 hours to experience nature, the sun, and the art of survival as your own ancestors did.

Lanny is the author of Medicinal Herbs of California. He will have copies for sale and signing after the walkabout.
